Dental Care for Rohingya and Host Communities

Through this project, mobile dental camps were operated for both the local population and the Rohingya people forcibly displaced from Myanmar, utilizing a team that included dentists, nurses, and other personnel from the Cox’s Bazar district. Based on patient volume, medical camps were conducted at a specific site (Camp 3, DD Zone) and in neighbouring villages; these camps provided dental diagnoses and dispensed medications in accordance with doctors’ prescriptions. A total of 57 dental camps were organized to provide free medical care and medication to 2,700 impoverished and underprivileged Rohingya individuals displaced from Myanmar.

Activities:

  1. Providing treatment for dental ailments through mobile dental camps.;
  2. Conducting meetings to raise awareness about dental care.;
  3. Distribution of toothbrushes and toothpaste among the beneficiaries.
