The project supports disadvantaged children to create access to quality education which will help them acquire knowledge, skills, capacities, values and attitudes to improve the quality of their lives.
Objectives:
- to increase the literacy rate in dalit & disadvantaged communities;
- to increase knowledge on women’s rights and social rights, including human rights amongst adolescent girl students;
- helping dalit children develop their talents;
- to keep the health of the villagers risk-free;
- to develop the skills of dalit women in the production of agricultural and household products and to make them income-oriented;
- raise awareness of women’s rights among young women, their guardians and leaders;
Activities:
1) Study materials, stipend & exam. fees distribution;
2) Special support distribution to girls through motivational seminars;
3) Special support to Brothel children;
4) Support to S.S.C. examinee;
5) Guidance seminar for S.S.C & H.S.C passed dalit students;
6) Teachers’ orientation;
7) Organize debate, drawing, essay writing, cultural & cycle riding competition;
8) Monthly & yearly meetings with the guardians at the village level;
9) Annual Meeting with the School Managing Committee;
10) Training on duck farming and duck distribution;
11) Distribution of vegetable seeds;
12) Refresher training on leadership development;
13) Quarterly meeting with community clinic staff.
