Objectives:

  • to increase the literacy rate in dalit & disadvantaged communities;
  • to increase knowledge on women’s rights and social rights, including human rights amongst adolescent girl students;
  • supporting youth leadership development;
  • to interact to create social awareness for the prevention of child marriage and increase public awareness against the child marriage system;
  • enhancing awareness on the establishment of human rights and elimination of caste discrimination;

 

Activities:

1) Study materials, stipend & exam. fees distribution;

2) Special support distribution to college-level female students through motivational seminars;

3) Support to S.S.C. examinee;

4) Guidance seminar to SSC passed students;

5) Distribution of health and hygiene supplies (soap, toothpaste, toothbrush) to primary school students;

6) Free medical check-up and medical assistance (for students);

7) Training on the cultivation of vegetables free from chemical fertilizers and pesticides;

8) Distribution of vegetable seeds to students for organic vegetable cultivation at home;

9) Teachers’ orientation;

10) Organize drawing, cultural competitions;

11) Skills development training for teachers;

12) Meeting with Village Development Committee;

13) Monthly & yearly meetings with the guardians at the village level;

14) Annual coordination meeting with the Learning Centre Managing Committee;

15) Annual coordination meeting with Village Development Committee;

16) Awareness raising meeting for adolescent girls and boys;

17) Intergenerational dialogue with parents and children;

18) Advocacy with the Upazila Administration;

19) Basic Training on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for Students Pursuing Higher Education (3-Day Course);

20) Awareness-raising meeting with unemployed youth;

21) Meetings to establish connections with various stakeholders and service providers at the Upazila level through youth platforms, as part of demand-based advocacy.
